As a long-time wig wearer, I was never truly happy with the wigs I found around me: uncomfortable, unwearable, unbeautiful. (I’ve always been obsessive about the details; maybe it’s the French girl inside of me.)
I learned the craft from some of the world’s top wig technicians, from choosing quality hair to sewing in wefts to hand-stitching the lace. As I grew more experienced, I gained control over the process, learning how to adjust, refine, and customize to unseen-before perfection.

To create our pieces, we don’t use factories at all. Each one is lovingly imagined and designed by Shani herself – and carefully assembled by our expert wig technicians. And it all happens in our Brooklyn, NY-based atelier.

Our wigs are designed for both individuals with hair and individuals without it. Life (and the medical curveballs it throws!) can be complicated – but our innovative wig grips are designed to keep your hair on throughout it all!
We select bundles of hair from ethical hair suppliers, going through hundreds of kilos at a time to find bundles that match our quality standards. Individual strands from each bundle are tested to ensure strength and elasticity.
And no, we don’t mean shampooing. Cleaning refers to the painstaking process of manually separating bundles according to length, color, and texture. This is the point where we decide what the wig will look like: length, density, and color.
Time to connect the pieces. We create wefts and sew them down into a custom-sized cap, creating regions of fullness and flatness to mimic real hair (and allowing for that perfect ear tuck). Lace top, skin top, lace front: those decisions happen now.
Once a client has made a selection, we finish the hairline and cut for that face-framing final touch. If needed, we’ll add color like highlights, rooting, or balayage, and style it to our clients’ desires. Voila: the perfect wig is born.
